That could be my fault when setting the depth adjustment. On my next upcoming project using the same nailer & trim, I will try reducing the depth and see if that helps with the size of the nail hole.

So far I cannot find anything to really complain about with this tool other than being tied down to an air-compressor.

In the future, I will consider a good battery powered option like these “Battery Powered Nail Guns” here.

My Rigid leaves a much cleaner result with almost no need for caulk.

Sounds like you are referring to a different model? I’m pretty sure this Pierce 18 gauge brad nailer has a “no tool” jam release feature.
