Cordless Battery Powered Tire Inflator for Cars, Trucks, Floats & More!
Having the correct air pressure in your tires is vital for safety and gas mileage.
Instead of pulling out a heavy air compressor or searching around for a gas station with a working pump. Keep a small portable tire inflator in your vehicle at all times with this battery powered pump.
Today I will be going over my review of the Tacklife X1 Rechargeable Cordless Tire Inflator.
TACKLIFE X1 Rechargeable Cordless Tire Inflator, Overview
First, lets get started with what is included with the inflator and some of the features.
The TackLife X1 Inflator comes with the main pump, screw on tire chuck with lock on lever, USB charge cable, spare fuse, and extra tips for inflatable balls & floats.
Lithium Battery Powered Tire Inflator
Powered by a 2200mAh lithium battery, the pump is advertised to inflate tires up to 80 PSI. Since most car and truck tires require around (30- 40PSI), this is pretty impressive.
*Tip – To find the recommended tire pressure for your vehicle, check the sticker located on your vehicles driver side door jamb
The battery can also be used as a power bank to charge devices like phones or tablets. If not in use, they advertise an ultra-long standby time of 12 months.
• Integrated LED work light
• Adjustable PSI with auto shutoff
• Powerful motors deliver up to 80PSI
• Recharge via USB input
Cordless Battery Powered Tire Inflator, How does it Work?
This thing is Awesome!
Using the battery pump was surprisingly easy.
- Screw in the hose attachment, with built-in tire chuck
- Attach the tire chuck to the valve stem of the tire and flip the lever to lock it in place
- Hold down the Power button to turn on the display
- Use the (+ & -) buttons to set the desired pressure/PSI
- Press the Power button one more time to turn on the pump
Note, the pump will display the current tire PSI on the screen so you can watch it increase as air is added. Once the pressure in the tire reaches the set value, the pump will automatically shut off.
Here is a short Video showing the mighty tire inflator in action:
Following the steps above this was a quick & easy process to add air to my tires. Best of all it is completely hands free while it is running!
Portable Tire Inflator, Best Uses – Emergencies/Travel
What is this tool best used for?
This battery powered tire inflator would be great for any car, truck, RV, off road vehicle, etc. Since it is small and portable, you can easily store it in the trunk or behind a seat without taking up much room at all.
Perfect when traveling far from home or to remote locations where cell phone service could be non-existent. Prevent getting stranded by planning ahead, pack a portable tire inflator and a good tire repair kit. (Click Here for a heavy duty tire repair kit on Amazon)
In my opinion, every vehicle should have a portable tire inflator like this
For the price and the size it can really get you out of a bad situation…think flat tire, far from home, no cell phone service, no spare, at night (you get the idea)
So, the next time you see the “low tire pressure” light on the dash – no need to worry.
Instead of having to find a gas station with a working pump (harder than it sounds), just pull out the portable battery compressor and fill them up!
Many other Uses!
In addition to being a great emergency roadside tool, this cordless pump has many other uses.
Using the included tips you can use this pump to inflate footballs, basketballs, bicycles and poolside floats.
It is also a handy tool to have around the farm or homestead. Lawnmower, ATV and trailer tires are notorious for going flat and lugging around a heavy air compressor can be a real pain.
Conclusion, Where to Buy a Battery Powered Tire Inflator?
I know I said it before, but this thing is pretty awesome!
It is super compact, easy to use and best of all…no wires.
So far I have only used it on a couple of occasions but it has really surprised me how well it has worked. My only concern is how long will it last?
Also, this is not the first “portable air compressor” I have purchased. Until I have more time on this battery unit I also carry with me a portable compressor that requires connection to your battery. More on that compressor here
However, I do plan on using this battery powered pump on a variety of projects around the home to test the overall durability. If anything comes up I will be sure to update the article with my results.
Until then, I will be buying at least one or two more of these for all my vehicles and to give out as gifts to family members. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
